I’ll go ahead and refer to this as Part 4 in the saga of Nidia Garcia, the sexy (former) policewoman from Mexico whose topless selfies went viral which culminated in her being suspended and ultimately quitting the force. Well it turns out that Nidia Garcia has landed on her feet (or her stiletto heels, whatever), and she’s now a traveling stripper bringing in the big pesos all across Mexico . For those of you that haven’t seen the photo yet we’ve covered this story extensively in the past, so I’m shocked you haven’t glimpsed it yet, but here it is again: the DailyMail reports:
The uncensored photo was published on Facebook on Friday April 15, and by the Sunday it had already been shared over 500,000 times across social media platforms.
‘My husband is ignoring the fact that I’m now a stripper. The whole scandal has been extremely hard on him, since he has to listen to his colleagues laugh about me and make fun of him.’
Nidia’s supposed repentance hasn’t stopped her from making the most of the situation. Less than a week after the photos emerged she had signed on with a talent agent and was performing at the Monterrey strip club Poisson.
‘Nidia is one of the most famous women in Mexico,’ says her agent Mario Rodriguez, who pays his client $700 (£480) for each strip show she puts on.
‘Whoever was threatening her with posting her intimate photos online did her a massive favour.’
Now a bona fide stripper, Nidia is fully booked until the start of September. She will spend the coming months touring Mexico’s top strip clubs.
Now that her husband’s supposedly no longer speaking to her, Nidia’s headlining a Cinco de Mayo fiesta at La Premier Men’s Sports Bar (according to Chris Spags over at Barstool): Good for her. I for one think it’s a great thing that she’s embracing her newfound fame and she’s taking her 10 minutes of fame to get paid instead of just letting her life and career completely fall to shambles. She’s turned an unfortunate leak into something far greater, life handed her lemons and she popped dem boobies out at the club to make lemonade. In times of strife we should all strive to be a little bit more like Nidia Garcia, me thinks.
