Christie Brinkley Stars In SI Swimsuit Issue With Her Daughters, And The 63-Year-Old Mom Is Probably The Hottest

Christie Brinkley Stars In SI Swimsuit Issue With Her Daughters

Back in 1979, a then 25-year-old Christie Brinkley first covered the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, The beautiful model then appeared on the cover the following two years, the first time that had ever happened. Those covers propelled her prolific career where she appeared on over 500 magazine covers, plus her iconic role as the hot Ferarri girl in the 1983 movie National Lampoon’s Vacation . Now 38 years after her first appearance in SI, the captivating Christie Brinkley is back in the swimsuit issue. The 63-year-old beauty is joined by her two daughters Alexa Ray Joel, 31, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, 18, for the photoshoot which was done in the outrageously picturesque Turks & Caicos.

@christiebrinkley is back in a bikini for #SISwim 2017 (and she’s brought two very special guests!).

And I gotta say, you wouldn’t be wrong to say that mom is the hottest of the trio.

“My first thought was, ‘At my age? No way!’” she tells PEOPLE magazine . “When I turned 30, I was like, ‘This is the last time I’m posing in a bathing suit!’ When this issue comes out, I’ll be 63. I thought, ‘Those days are over.’ But to get to do it with my girls, I thought, ‘One last go!’” Sailor, Brinkley’s younger daughter with ex-husband Peter Cook, has already started a modeling career and called the SI photoshoot “very empowering and liberating.”

Alexa, who arguably got a little too much genetics from her dad Billy Joel, said she was apprehensive about the photoshoot and “needed to be talked into embracing new experiences.”

Let’s STOP degrading and START celebrating ourselves and others, from both the inside AND out. ???There’s far too much degradation, competition, insecurity, and unhealthy standards associated with women and their bodies- particularly on social-media. As a conscious society, it’s up to us to flip this negativity on its head. I don’t have a completely flat tummy, or cellulite-free thighs… nor am I a model’s height or shape. Neither are hundreds of millions of other beautiful women out there. SO WHAT? Does it really matter, in the end? All that matters is how YOU feel about yourself. Set your own standards of beauty; both internally and externally. All of those unrealistic-looking, photoshopped images are nothing more than white noise, playing off of your own insecurities in order to make a buck. Don’t let them affect you. DO YOU! We are all perfect, just as we are. Please know that. Thank you @si_swimsuit for showcasing all heights, shapes, and sizes. For within our distinctions, our quirks, and our self-perceived ‘flaws’… therein lies the beauty. {Capture Credit: @si_swimsuit #BehindTheScenes Thank you for the honor of shooting me with my Precious & Golden Sunshines: Mamacita & Sailorina.}
